Black and White.
Or maybe grey.
How clearly things begin to seem.
Or maybe not.
Our eyes become focused, fixated on the intricate outline that characterizes the image projected on our retina. We become entrapped in the bland simplicity that somehow projects mystery.
How easy life would seem if most of our actions were black and white, maybe with a hint of nothing else but grey. If our ‘yeses and nos’ were indeed ‘yeses and nos’. Bland and boring?- yes, but a whole lot easier as we begin to avoid all the messiness and complexity.
With colours missing, we notice the stillness. The big and bold structures stand out(as in the picture above)
However…
Without colour, we miss the beauty of it all. We miss other details which may come alive, thanks to the splash of awakening colour brings.
With colour we notice what may be hidden, as the littlest and not so obvious structures are given a voice!
Truth is, life isn’t black and white, so while you appreciate the monochrome, also carry colour with you. Learn to repaint whatever ‘image‘ you encounter in a way that you give attention to all present.
Be nice, be kind, and treat all fairly!
What a beautiful piece. Weldone
